Vaughn Jeffries needs no introduction. As a member of New Zealand’s eventing ‘dream team’ Vaughn and the inimitable Bounce represented New Zealand at two Olympics and three World Championships. As well as winning numerous medals, Vaughn’s ultimate success was being crowned World Champion at The Hague in 1994. A true horseman, Vaughn was also a show jump rider in his own right prior to representing NZ as an eventer.

Since retiring from representative riding Vaughn has been high in demand as a trainer and he travels the world coaching riders. Vaughn teaches with attention to detail, working on gymnastic exercises to improve both rider and horse techniques. Currently he trains many of the country’s top riders and notably is coach and mentor to eventers Clarke Johnstone and Mathew Gilmore.

We are lucky enough to have secured Vaughn for show jumping clinics over winter. He will travel to Woodhill Sands once a month and is taking groups at all levels. Groups are no larger than 4 riders and you are guaranteed to finish with a sense of achievement and progression.
